Ray Wells, Ph.D., is President of Wellbeing Systems, a Philadelphia-area consulting firm that uses appreciative, positive, strengths-based approaches for designing leadership, team, and organization development programs. Over the past 35 years he has been widely recognized for his talent in developing individual leadership capacity, facilitating the growth of teams, and assisting leaders in their transformational change efforts.

He has designed and facilitated major Appreciative Inquiry change initiatives for the United Way, Holcim US, McCollister’s Transportation, the Naval Sea Logistics Center, Penn State University, the Bryn Athyn Church, Lafayette College, Mount St. Joseph’s Academy, Meharry Medical College, the Jewelers Leadership Forum, and the National College Testing Association. Ray has facilitated AIFT sessions at the University of New Mexico and the Community College of Philadelphia and currently teaches Appreciative Inquiry for the Organizational Development and Leadership graduate program at St. Joseph’s University.

Ray also spends a third of his time as Associate Director of the Philadelphia-based FAIMER Institute, an international leadership development program for health professions educators from developing countries, and has helped to launch and served as faculty for regional institutes in India and China. He holds an M.A. in student and adult development from Bowling Green State University and a Ph.D. in applied social-psychology from Temple University.
