Leeann Waddington, MS, RN has been a registered nurse for 18 years and has a Masters in Healthcare Administration. She has worked in middle and senior management roles in the US healthcare system, where appreciative inquiry was part of her approach to strategic planning and change management initiatives. She is currently a doctoral student at Athabasca University in the Doctor of Education in Distance Education. Her extensive teaching background led her to a leadership role in Education Development. She is currently the Manager of Learning Technology and Educational Media at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Surrey BC. She is also a Certified Appreciative Inquiry Facilitator.
Leeann believes Appreciative Inquiry is the missing ingredient for success in higher education reform initiatives. In Leeann’s various roles in Education and Healthcare leadership she has experience with AI as a change management tool and as a strategic planning process. She strives to keep her mindset and leadership style strengths based as she manages her work teams, consults with faculty and supports University projects and committees.
