AIFTs always bring about a few "aha's" and some "wow's" but the AIFT at Norman, OK brought an "OH BABY!"
One of the highlights of the week was the birth of Reverend Harrell Davis' grand daughter. Typically, as we make agreements, there is some discussion of the use of cell phones. Reverend Davis requested that the group be accepting of his request to leave his phone on vibrate as he was eagerly awaiting the birth of his grand child.
We, of course, quickly agreed! During our check-in the next morning, there was a great deal of energy around one question, "was the child here yet?" The answer was, "no, but labor has been induced, so anytime!" No news during day two, so we inquired again on day three.
Still no news, but assurances that all was well with both mom and baby.
Harrell was the first into the session on day 4. He proudly posted a colorful flip chart indicating that the baby had arrived and was healthy and happy. The excitement of new life while working with the concepts of AI is an incredible match! So much hope and anticipation for the future were evident.
The entire training group of the Norman, OK AIFT congratulates Harrell on the birth of Emerson Avery Dahldavis.
